Spring Break! ... in Russia?

Spring Break!  Cancun!  Party!  Wooooooo!

Wouldn't it be nice if spring break really was like what you see on TV?  Beach bunnies lying in the sand on the shore of Cancun, Mexico.  Drinks flowing and poolside parties.

Too bad most of us live in the real world.  Boo.

There may be those lucky students who have the opportunity to spend their spring break away from Pennsylvania and have some fun in the sun, but if you're like me, your spring break will always consist of catching up with friends and working.  Except for the spending time with friends part, that is not exactly what I would call a thrilling spring break.

However, for some NCC students, their 2010 spring break activities, which start on March 15, will reach farther than Pennsylvania and the beaches of Cancun.  They will be busy learning and helping (with a little skiing thrown in) in the states and across the pond.  Students will be visiting the University of Moscow in Russia, St. Augustine in Florida, the country of Denmark, Diné College in Arizona, New Orleans, and Vermont.

If you're bummed you missed these opportunities, no worries.  Various trips are held every year and information on them can be found via Northampton NOW, fliers around campus, and your professors.  Keep your eyes and ears open for next year if you'd rather not spend your spring break with a plastic palm tree and blow-up kiddie pool in your backyard.
