NCC is 99% Smoke-Free -- And We Mean It!

NCC is now 99% smoke-free.  That leaves only 1% of the campus where you can smoke.  And 1% isn't a lot.

Designated smoking areas will have a sign with a symbol of a lit cigarette with the words "allowed" underneath.  Your other option is to smoke in your car (not on your car and not next to your car).

Violate the rule, and you may find yourself with a $100 fine.  This applies to staff and faculty, too.  To keep it simple (and possibly save yourself a hundred bucks), if you're not sure you're in a designated area, don't light up.

This rule made my day terrible today. Every time I went for a cigarette, I had to walk forever in the freezing cold rain. Non-smokers may not understand this, but smokers do not usually choose to smoke, we are addicted. That means if we don't have a cigarette, we will not be able to focus on our studies, and we could even have serious withdrawal symptoms if we go too long without one. There should be smoking areas closer to the buildings, or at least a roof a bit larger so we aren't huddled in a 10x5 glass enclosure with 20 other students.

It's awful. While we may be a minority in the school, we're still people, and we shouldn't have to go through this every time the weather is bad (which is pretty often in Pennsylvania).

For those who were patient enough, thank you for reading and considering my comment.
